Matt and Kristen:

Matt and Kristen love adventure, food, and being active. Having served in Zambia, Ukraine and now in Hudson, Quebec, they have a passion for helping people understand their faith in Jesus Christ in deep and transformative ways. They also desire to see the beauty of the Christian good news expressed in the relational fabric of the church.

Ivan and Megan:

Ivan and Megan got married in 2015 and have been together since 2010. They have 5 wonderful children. They have been attending HCBC since 2022 and call the people here family

Ivan grew up in a Christian home, went to Christian school, had youth on Saturdays and church on Sundays. Shortly after graduating high school, he did not identify as a follower of Christ despite his upbringing. He was just culturally Christian because his parents went to church and that’s what they did on Sundays and sometimes prayed before meals. Ivan believed there was a God but didn’t have a personal relationship with Him. God was like a genie that he could call on when it served his own purposes like when he wanted to get his driver’s license or pass a final exam. After a long time of pursuing a career and chasing the world, God in His grace and mercy called Ivan to surrender his life to Him in his late 20’s. Since being redeemed he has been striving to be more like Jesus in everything that he does. 

Megan looks forward to sharing her testimony with anyone willing to hear. She grew up Christian, went to Christian school, attended youth on Fridays and church on Sundays. Megan fell away from the faith after her time at youth group ended and the world became shiny and new. God changed her heart drastically in her mid 20’s giving her a living faith, Praise God.
